Why This Program Matters
In honor of National Recovery Month, Dr. Emily Weiss will match every gift—dollar for dollar—up to $10,000, in memory of her sister, Susan Sydney Weiss.
Emily helped launch PAWS NY’s Substance Use Recovery Program in 2023 to honor Susan, whose beloved dogs, Nugget and Chance, offered comfort and unconditional love throughout her struggle with substance use disorder.
PAWS NY provides temporary foster care, food, supplies, veterinary care and transportation so people can enter treatment knowing their pets are safe and loved.
More than 4,600 days of care since the program began.
Donate by 9/24 to help someone begin their recovery journey knowing the pet they love is safe.
*Match eligibility: Gifts from newer supporters will be eligible for matching funds. The match is intended grow the community of supporters for our Substance Use Recovery Program. However, all donations are appreciated.
